Green Entrepreneurship Bootcamp Started!
In the project led by the National Education Foundation (MEV), the Green Entrepreneurship Bootcamp, hosted by Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University, began in Ankara, Türkiye, on 19 June 2026. The Bootcamp brought together 50 aspiring young people from all 4 partners countries from: Türkiye, Spain, Estonia, and North Macedonia.
The National Education Foundation (MEV) supported students from MEV College Private Ankara Schools and Cezeri Green Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School to join this Bootcamp.
On June 19, the very first day of the Bootcamp programme started with the opening and welcoming speeches made by the National Education Foundation (MEV), and all the project partners, Ankara Yildirım Beyazıt University (AYBU, Türkiye), PRO-EK (Türkiye), Think Up Digital (North Macedonia), NGO Pro-Consensio (Estonia), and FETICO (Spain), who introduced themselves. Then the programme continued with the remarkable interactive training sessions facilitated by Ankara Yıldırım University and Pro-EK teams.
At the end of Day 1, a cultural evening was held to introduce Turkish and Estonian cultures. Students from MEV and CEZERİ schools presented a beautiful show reflecting the historical, cultural, and traditional features of Turkish culture. At the end of the show, the young people served samples of Turkish cuisine and performed a folk dance called “Atabari,” which is one of the traditional Turkish folk dances. The second part of the cultural festival, Estonia presented its digital culture, music, dances, and its traditional food.
On June 20, the participants were divided into groups and went to Kurtuluş Parkı, near the training facility, where they explored and photographed eco-friendly activities in accordance with the guidelines they were given and chatted with residents.
During the evening, at the cultural night, young people from Spain and North Macedonia introduced their countries and shared rich cultural insights about their countries. The cultural evenings allowed the young people to get to know one another better and connect with their cultural heritage.
On the third day of the Bootcamp, June 21, the groups of participants went into a deeper understanding of Green Skills for Green Entrepreneurship. In addition, during the “ecological footprint” activity, each participant—who had been divided into groups—calculated their own ecological footprint and learned about their global footprint. Later in the day, the participants, who focused on the topic of climate stability, showed great interest in the “Green Simulation” game they played at the end of the event.
During the first three days of the boot camp (19–21 June 2026), young participants had the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas. Interactive sessions and cross-cultural dialogue played a central role in the programme. These topics generated a great deal of interest among the young participants; the evaluations and analyses conducted encouraged young people to develop comprehensive and diverse visionary approaches.
