About the Project

YouthGreen 5.0 – Fair Transition with Green Skills and Circular Economy

As climate change and environmental challenges accelerate, European labour markets are transitioning toward sustainability-driven industries, yet there remains a gap between this demand and the availability of structured learning pathways. Many young people, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, lack access to the necessary training, career guidance, and employment opportunities in green sectors.

The gaps identified at the level of the needs and demands of Europe's shift toward environmental sustainability are essential, yet it presents significant socio-economic hurdles for young people. The European Green Deal and the Just Transition Mechanism unlock massive potential for youth employment and innovation in key sectors. Therefore, addressing these gaps is the core motivation for YouthGreen 5.0.

The YOUTHGREEN 5.0 project is a two-year project involving six partners from four countries (Turkey, Estonia, Spain, and North Macedonia), funded by the European Union under the ERASMUS+ PROGRAM.

YouthGreen 5.0 – The Fair Transition with Green Skills and Circular Economy Project aims to empower young people across Europe as leaders of the green transition, equipped with the essential skills, market knowledge, and opportunities to build sustainable careers and actively shape.

The project addresses youth employability, sustainable production, and public awareness in climate action while promoting transnational cooperation.

This project offers an interdisciplinary approach that integrates the development of green skills, AI-supported career guidance, green skills training, green entrepreneurship approaches, and sustainability policy initiatives, creating a strong synergy between formal education, vocational training, youth participation, and policy-making.
