What is Green Transition?

The concept of the green transition, developed primarily to address climate change and promote the efficient use of resources, encompasses both economic and environmental sustainability.

The "green transition" is defined as a shift away from production models that harm the environment and rely heavily on natural resources, toward practices that respect planetary boundaries and are grounded in long-term global sustainability, a circular economy, and low carbon emissions, while promoting resilience and social well-being globally.

The European Green Deal is a structural transformation plan encompassing all sectors from energy, industry, and transport to agriculture, aiming to make Europe the world's first climate-neutral continent with net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
